The Dino has four ventilated, servo assisted disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, independent double wishbone suspension and coil springs. The engine features two valves per cylinder, two overhead cams and three Weber 40 DCNF/7 carbs. Its agile handling and unmistakable Ferrari exhaust note make for an exhilarating driving experience. Excellent Grigio argento (silver) paint and rare factory flares along with campagnalo wheels make the exterior striking on this car. Pelle Rossa interior with Daytona seats along with a period correct pioneer stereo, A/C and a Nardi wood wheel further compliment the package. The second owner (Schwimmer) had the car repainted and the interior reupholstered in the early 90's. The third owner (Weis) had the car gone through mechanically by Auto Palace in Pittsburgh PA in the mid 90's. This Dino is a true 18,000 mile car with incredible service records and owner history. Price: Please Call
Status: SOLD
Description:
This is one of only 21 (option code M637) 911 Club Sports built for PCNA in 1988. It is the spiritual successor to the legendary “73 Carrera RS. All twenty-one USA Club Sports were built with sequential serial numbers. Engine components were matched, selected and hand-assembled to be the best performing 911s built that year. The engines featured hollow exhaust valves, different software for the DME, and a redline increased from 6520 to 6840 rpm. Sport shocks were standard, as were front and rear spoilers and a shortened shift lever. Weight reduction was achieved through elimination of such features as a/c, power door locks, sound insulation, fog lights, rear seats and an audio system. We have all of the documentation for this extremely rare car including the books, brochures, press kit, service records, window sticker and COA. The car currently has a 930S steering wheel, bumper trim, a test pipe and a Borla exhaust. We have the original pieces to return the car to stock configuration. Less than 1500 miles ago, the car had a major service including all new fluids, plugs, filters, valve adjustment, front brake pads and rear tires (Mich. Pilot SX) We had the front bumper resprayed because of a few small stone chips. The rest of the paint and all of the interior is original. This car is truly exceptional and the winner of several local PCA concours events.
