1973 Porsche 911 RS
HyperLink
Price: $215,000.00
Status: SOLD!
Description:
This 73 RS was delivered new to a dentist in Milan, Italy in Feb 1973 where he kept it in a warehouse outside of town and drove it sparingly. The car was originally black on black and a (M472) touring optioned vehicle. It is one of only 62 RS's originally painted black. The options on the car were black leatherette and seats in Perlon -corduroy. In December of 1983 the car was imported to the US by Rick Popper who owned it until 10/8/1984 when he sold it to well known Porsche collector Prescott Kelly. Mr. Kelly showed the car in concours and used it as a drivers ed track car until the original paint ”failed” in 1986. Prescott had Jim Newton restore the car and convert it to lightweight (M471) specs using all genuine factory original parts. The car was so nice he couldn’t drive and enjoy it so in September of 1992 he sold it to Ray Alvarado in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Alvarado was hit on the left door then in July 1993 the RS was sold at auction to an unknown buyer. In 1994 # 618 was advertised in Hemmings Motor News having been painted to the famous white with blue graphics RS color scheme when it was sold to Kerry Morse. Jim Oppenheimer of Toad Hall Racing acquired the car for his personal collection until he sold it in 2000. This RS still has its original engine and gearbox and features very rare original factory light weight parts. The car has been in a private Porsche collection since 2001 and was driven occasionally. It is an incredible car to drive and was displayed in the historical collection at the PCA 50th anniversary Parade. This RS was used in a comparison test with a new RS America at Lime Rock in spring of 1993 that was featured in Porsche Panorama. Photos of the car also were included in PCNA’s introductory press kit for the RS America. Car includes all of the ownership and import documents as well as service records.

1974 Porsche 914
HyperLink
Price: $22,000.00
Status: Available
Description:
This 1974 914 was a showcase car for Automobile Atlanta (914 Specialist and Porsche parts business). George from Automobile Atlanta restored the car (being a 68K extremely nice stripped out 1.8) and used the best of everything to turn the car into pristine 2.0 liter. This car won numerous shows and is an outstanding 914 with a 2.0 engine. We sold this car back in August 2007 to a customer and it is back just in time for the summer. Our customer only put 500 miles on the car since August because he felt like the car was too nice to drive. It would be very difficult to duplicate the quality of this car and represents a significant bang for your buck opportunity

1965 Porsche 911
HyperLink
Price: $85,000.00

Description:
Here is a very early 911 that was a California car until it was purchase by one of our very particular collectors in 2004. The first owner had this little Porsche until 1979 when he sold it to its next care taker. Driven for a few years, the 911 was showing its age and in the early 80’s it was repainted and had the engine rebuilt. This 911 has traveled only 79,000 miles, while it had aged very well we thought it needed to be refreshed. Starting with the underside we replaced all the bushings and replated and powder coated all of the suspension components then properly undercoated the entire chassis. Then the original wheels were re-chromed and new tires added making this 911 one of the best driving early cars we have had the pleasure to sample. The next item was the body, while the 911 was straight and rust free, the paint was past its prime so we took the car down to a shell and gave it a concourse repaint in its original Slate Grey (6401)non-metallic. The numbers matching 901 engine ran great but needed to be re-sealed so if you are going that far you might as well go all the way. The motor was rebuilt, heads were redone and every part that bolted on the engine was replated and powder coated(do you see a trend) then reassembled. the engine compartment was then refinished and we turned our attention to the front trunk. The trunk compartment and gas tank were refinised and the proper square weave carpet installed. The interior received the same attention to detail as the rest of the car, new square weave carpet, plating, nuts, bolts and the wood dash restored like new. The Red leather(should be Black) seats we kept because the contrast looks awesome and they have a great patina. This is the best restored 65 on the market and a rare opertunity to own a very early 911.

1977 Porsche 911 Turbo (one of only 727)
HyperLink
Price: $48,500.00
Status: Available
Description:
This Turbo arrived from its third owner and just needed a proper service and detail. The original Grand Prix White paint with the Turbo script is in amazing condition and needed only minor touchups and a complete detail to bring it back to pristine condition. The documented three previous owners had service the 930 regularly but that was just not up to our standards. Our Turbo original engine (#6870724) just received one of our meticulous services: being completely resealed, chain tensioner update, new clutch, valve adjustment, plugs etc. Once we were done with the motor we started on the chassis, and put new brakes, rotors and master cylinder on the car. Then we turned our attention to the body where we removed a ding on the driver’s door and touched up it up. Then we completely buffed and detailed the car to our standards (which is a very high bar). The light red interior is exceptional and just like a 40,000 mile car should be, This is the best original non inter cooled Turbo out there period.
