1989 marked the end of an era for Porsche and the 911. Emissions, safety and ways of doing business were making this small car company in Stuttgart change everything. But not without a last hurrah for the 911 .

The last year of the ‘911″ body style brought us two very special open top versons of the 911, the Speedster (523 U.S.) and the 930 S “Slant Nose” (28 U.S).
The Slant Nose is a rare car and 1989’s are unique to all others because of the addition of the 5 speed (G50) transmission. Additionally, a short throw gear shift, hydraulic clutch, reconfigured suspension, and limited slip, all helped to make the 930 quicker than any production automobile according to Road and Track Magazine tests in 1989.
A Porsche factory brochure even described the Slant Nose project in this way, “all of the detailing is painstakingly hand formed in the finest old world tradition reminiscent of the first 356 Series Porsche,”

This Slant Nose has been featured in a private collection of special Production Porsche’s for a some time and has only 505 miles on it. It also retains all of its factory equipment and is actually better than delivered new with a “full Concours” detail. This 930 Slant Nose is truly the finest of its kind. Started regularly and driven rarely, it is in pristine condition and ready to be enjoyed.
