This 1958 Speedster came to us from sunny Florida where it has resided for over 10 years and has been enjoyed. Our Speedster has the distinction of being painted one of the rarest colors to leave the factory, Orange! Available from 1954 to 1959 this factory “Special” color was only placed on 27 Speedsters to leave the Reutter Factory.

  Being a 1958, our car was at the end of the Speedsters production run and was the final iteration of Porsche’s iconic design. The factory 1600 “normal” has been replaced by the upgraded “Super” engine with Sport air cleaners added. We have just completed an engine out service and she now performs better than new!
This car was restored in the late 80’s and driven Sparingly ever since and it shows. The convertible top, seats and interior are very good, chrome is also very good. The gaps are also good and the paint shows well. Only upon very close inspection can you begin to see any flaws. Seldom do you find a car with the right “Patina” but this is it! This is a truly wonderful car that just needs to be enjoyed for the years to come.
