1951 356 Split Window Coupe – SOLD

Production date: 03/1951

Numbers matching coupe VIN# 5511 Engine# 1015, that was originally painted Fish Silver Grey (R505) and interior Blue (3331).

This Split WIndow coupe was imported from Japan in 2005 by Phil Bagley and shortly sold to Neil Huffman.

Jack Staggs (356 Mechanic) in San Clemente did all the initial work on the car, such as replacing a few incorrect Pre-A knobs and replacing the headlight switch.

After Mr. Huffman got the car, he sent it to Ken Daugherty. Ken rebult the entire motor, made a pre A muffler and made sure the car was on the button.

The car comes with it’s FIA paper document that lists Tetsuya Shimada as the last owner before Mr. Huffman. A matching numbers Split Window coupe in a rare desirable color doesn’t come up often.
